"We Could Steal Time Just For One Day"

There is another part of this lil blog besides what I've shown you so far that needs to come to the table more often. Dill aka Craig aka my husband. He plays the bass, the guitar, and a mean harmonica. One of the artists responsible for his love, passion, drive, and commitment was David Bowie. Countless times Craig chooses one of Bowie's songs over all the rest to play in the car, he hums/whistles his songs more than he can count, and Bowie was a true inspiration for him. Yesterday the world lost a great artist and he will be deeply missed.

For me, I think David Bowie was my first crush. Before JTT and Zack was the movie Labyrinth, which I think I broke several VHS tapes watching it too much. David Bowie will forever be Jareth, the Goblin King with his unbelievably romantic lyrics. Little did I know he had so many more amazing hits I just wasn't old enough to know about! I didn't know "Ground Control to Major Tom" was him until much later...even "Under Pressure". But these songs and more will forever be on my Ipod, mix cds, and whatever next music wonder will come next!

"I'll be there for you, as the world falls down..."

Thank you David Bowie for the music, the beautiful lyrics, and artistry.

My Favorite Part from Labyrinth

A Few Recent Amazing Influences

Moulin Rouge - Elephant Love Medley - feat "Heroes"

The Perks of being a Wallflower - "The Tunnel Song" is actually "Heroes"

American Horror Story - "Life on Mars"

Rest in peace.

  2. Another legend, forever gone. RIP. You're husband sounds very musically inclined. I wish I could play. The furthest I ever got, was the piano lol. If you don't use, you'll definitely lose it. I tried playing the piano one weekend and I struggled trying to remember what keys were what.

  3. The world will definitely miss my amazing man. My husband is so inspired by David Bowie as well and always hums along to his songs in the car :)
